Commemorate Our Servant Job. Behold he cried to his Lord: "The Evil One has afflicted me with distress and suffering!" 41 (And it was said unto him): Strike the ground with thy foot. This (spring) is a cool bath and a refreshing drink. 42 And We bestowed his household to him and one more similar to it – as a mercy from Us, and as a remembrance for the people of intellect. 43 "And take in thy hand a little grass, and strike therewith: and break not (thy oath)." Truly We found him full of patience and constancy. How excellent in Our service! ever did he turn (to Us)! 44 (Muhammad), recall Our servants Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob, all of whom possessed virtuous hands and clear visions. 45 Verily We! We distinguished them with a distinct quality: the remembrance of the Abode. 46 They are the chosen ones, the excellent in Our sight. 47 Remember [Our servants] Ishmael, Elisha, and Dhu'l-Kifl. Each of them was among the just. 48 This is an admonition, and verily for the God-fearing is a happy retreat: 49 gardens of perpetual bliss, with gates wide-open to them, 50 wherein they will recline, [and] wherein they may [freely] call for many a fruit and drink, 51 ۞ And with them shall be those restraining their eyes, equals in age. 52 This is what you, [the righteous], are promised for the Day of Account. 53 Our provision (for you) will never be exhausted. 54 This is for the virtuous; and indeed for the rebellious is a wretched destination. 55 Hell; which they shall enter; what an evil resting-place! 56 This is so! Then let them taste it, a boiling fluid and dirty wound discharges. 57 And other (torment) of the kind in pairs (the two extremes)! 58 “Here is another group that was with you, falling along with you”; they will answer, “Do not give them plenty of open space; they surely have to enter the fire – let them also be confined!” 59 [And] they [who had been seduced] will exclaim: "Nay, but it is you! No welcome to you! It is you who have prepared this for us: and how vile a state to abide in!" 60 They say: Our Lord! Whoever did prepare this for us, oh, give him double portion of the Fire! 61 And will add: "O what has happened to us that we do not see the men we counted among the wicked. 62 Did we take them (wrongly) for a laughing-stock, or have our eyes missed them? 63 Indeed, that is truth - the quarreling of the people of the Fire. 64
