The All High (Al-A'alaa)
In the name of Allah, the Merciful, the Compassionate
۞ Glorify the name of your Lord, the Most High, 1 Who has created (everything), and then proportioned it; 2 who determined and guided, 3 and who brings forth herbage, 4 and thereupon causes it to decay into rust-brown stubble! 5 We will make you recite, [O Muhammad], and you will not forget, 6 Except as Allah wills: For He knoweth what is manifest and what is hidden. 7 We shall take you slowly towards ease. 8 Therefore advise, if advising is beneficial. 9 He who fears [God] will heed the reminder, 10 but the wretched will turn away from it. 11 and suffer the heat of the great fire 12 Then he will neither die in it, nor live. 13 He indeed hath attained bliss who hath cleansed himself, 14 And recites the name of his Lord and serves with devotion. 15 But you prefer the life of this world, 16 but the Everlasting Life is better, and more enduring. 17 Indeed this is in the former scriptures. 18 the Scrolls of Abraham and Moses. 19
