The Snatchers (Al-Naze'aat)
In the Name of Allah, the Merciful, the Most Merciful
By the angels who violently tear-out the souls of the disbelievers from their bodies, 1 By those (angels) who gently take out (the souls of the believers); 2 And who glide with ease. 3 And those who race each other in a race 4 And who plan the implementation. 5 One Day everything that can be in commotion will be in violent commotion, 6 to be followed by further [convulsions]! 7 Hearts on that Day will be throbbing; 8 While eyes are downcast 9 They say: Shall we indeed be restored to (our) first state? 10 even though we may have become [a heap of] crumbling bones?" 11 They say: that then shall be a losing return. 12 Surely it will need but one shout, 13 and behold, they are awakened. 14 (Muhammad), have you heard the story of Moses 15 How his Lord called him in the holy vale of Tuwa, 16 saying, "Go to the Pharaoh. He has transgressed beyond all bounds. 17 And say to him, 'Would you [be willing to] purify yourself 18 Do you want me to guide you to your Lord, so that you should fear Him?'" 19 So Moosa showed him a magnificent sign. 20 but the Pharaoh rejected it and disobeyed (Moses). 21 and brusquely turned his back [on Moses]; 22 Then he gathered and cried aloud, 23 and proclaimed, "I am your supreme Lord," 24 So Allah seized him (and made him) an example for the after (life) and for the former. 25 Surely, in this there is a lesson for he that fears! 26
