Say thou: I am but warner, and there is no god but Allah, the One, the Subduer. 65 the Lord of the heavens and the earth and all that is between them; the Almighty, the Forgiving' 66 Say: 'This is a mighty message 67 Whence ye turn away! 68 I had no knowledge of the Highest Chiefs when they disputed; 69 I am told (about matters) by means of revelation only because I am a clear warner.” 70 (Remember) When your Lord said to the angels, “I will create a human from clay.” – 71 And when I have made him and have breathed into him of My spirit. Fall down in homage before him." 72 Thereupon the angels prostrated themselves, all of them together, 73 except iblis (satan, the father of the jinn), he became too proud, for he was one of the unbelievers. 74 Said Allah, “O Iblis! What prevented you from prostrating before one whom I have created with My hands*? Have you become proud or were you haughty from the beginning?” (Used as a metaphor). 75 He said: I am better than him. Thou createdst me of fire, whilst him Thou didst create of clay. 76 Allah said: get thee forth therefrom; verily thou art driven away. 77 Upon thee shall rest My curse, till the Day of Doom.' 78 [Iblis (Satan)] said: "My Lord! Give me then respite till the Day the (dead) are resurrected." 79 Allah said: verily, thou art of those respited. 80 till the Appointed Day." 81 He (satan) said: 'I swear by Your Might, that I will seduce all of them 82 Save Thy single-minded slaves among them. 83 [Allah] said, "The truth [is My oath], and the truth I say - 84 Most certainly will I fill hell with thee and such of them as shall follow thee, all together!" 85 (Muhammad), say, "I do not ask any reward for my preaching to you for I am not a pretender. 86 It is naught but an admonition unto the worlds. 87 And ye will come in time to know the truth thereof. 88
