By those (angels) that pluck out the soul from depths, 1 By those (angels) who gently take out (the souls of the believers); 2 By the angels who glide swimmingly, 3 by the angels who hasten along 4 And those who govern the event, 5 On the day when the first trump resoundeth. 6 There will follow it the subsequent [one]. 7 Hearts that Day will be in agitation; 8 Eyes be lowered in submission. 9 (The disbelievers) say, "Shall we be brought back to life again 10 after we have become bones and dust?" 11 They say: “That will then be a return with a great loss!” 12 It will only be a single blast, 13 and they will be upon the surface of the earth (alive). 14 Hast thou received the story of Moses? 15 when his Lord called him in the holy valley of Tuwa, 16 and directed him: “Go to Pharaoh, he has rebelled, 17 "And say to him, 'Wouldst thou that thou shouldst be purified (from sin)?- 18 Then I will guide thee to thy Lord and thou shalt fear (Him). 19 Then Moses (went to Pharaoh and) showed him the Great Sign; 20 In response, he denied and disobeyed. 21 Further, he turned his back, striving hard (against Allah). 22 Then he gathered and cried aloud, 23 And he said: I am your Lord, most high. 24 So Allah seized him in exemplary punishment for the last and the first [transgression]. 25 Indeed in this is a lesson for one who fears. 26
