And indeed Yunus is one of the Noble Messengers. 139 When he left towards the laden ship. 140 So he shared (with them), but was of those who are cast off. 141 And a fish swallowed him, and he was reproaching himself. 142 But had it not been that he was of those who glorify (Us), 143 He would have indeed remained inside its belly (the fish) till the Day of Resurrection. 144 ۞ but We caused him to be cast forth on a desert shore, sick [at heart] as he was, 145 and We caused a pumpkin tree to grow over him. 146 And We sent him to a hundred thousand (people) or even more. 147 and they believed. So We let them enjoy life for a while. 148 So ask their opinion: “(Are you convinced) that your Lord should have daughters and you should have sons? 149 Or did We create the angels as females while they were witnesses?" 150 Oh, verily, it is out of their own [inclination to] falsehood that some people assert, 151 'Allah has begotten' They are truly liars. 152 Hath He chosen daughters above sons? 153 What is the matter with you? How do you form your judgement? 154 Will ye not then reflect? 155 Do you have any clear authority for such claims? 156 Then bring your scripture, if what you say is true. 157 And they have invented a blood-relationship between Him and the Jinns: but the Jinns know (quite well) that they have indeed to appear (before his Judgment-Seat)! 158 Exalted is Allah above what they describe, 159 Except His chosen creatures who do not. 160 neither you nor what you worship 161 you shall not tempt any against Him 162 except those who are doomed to enter hell. 163 There is not one of us but hath his known position. 164 "And we are truly those who stand in rows, 165 And indeed, we are those who exalt Allah." 166 And indeed they (Arab pagans) used to say; 167 Had we but an admonition as had the ancients. 168 we would have certainly been sincere servants of God". 169 They have rejected the Quran. They will soon know the consequences (of their disbelief). 170 Our word had already been given before to Our votaries, the apostles, -- 171 will certainly be victorious 172 and Our armies shall be the victors. 173 So you ignore them for a time 174 and watch them. They, too, will watch. 175 Then for Our punishment are they impatient? 176 But when it descends in their territory, then evil is the morning of those who were warned. 177 And turn away from them till a time 178 And (then) see, for they too shall see. 179 Glory be to your Lord: the Lord of Glory is far above what they attribute to Him. 180 And peace be on the apostles. 181 And praise to Allah, Lord of the worlds. 182
