Say (unto them, O Muhammad): I am only a warner, and there is no Allah save Allah, the One, the Absolute, 65 Lord of the heavens and the earth and all that is between them, the Mighty, the Pardoning. 66 Say, "It is great news 67 from which you are turning away. 68 "I had no knowledge of the chiefs (angels) on high when they were disputing and discussing (about the creation of Adam). 69 “I receive only the divine revelations, that I am purely a clear Herald of Warning.” 70 When your Lord said to the angels: 'I am creating a human from clay, 71 So when I have made him complete and breathed into him of My spirit, then fall down making obeisance to him. 72 So the angels prostrated - all of them entirely. 73 Not so Iblis: he was haughty, and became one of those who reject Faith. 74 He said: O Iblis! what prevented you that you should do obeisance to him whom I created with My two hands? Are you proud or are you of the exalted ones? 75 (Iblis) said: "I am better than he: thou createdst me from fire, and him thou createdst from clay." 76 (Allah) said: "Then get out from here, for verily, you are outcast. 77 My condemnation will be with you until the Day of Judgment!" 78 (Iblis) said: "O my Lord! Give me then respite till the Day the (dead) are raised." 79 He said: “You are of those who have been granted respite 80 till the Day the time whereof is known [only to Me]." 81 [Iblees] said, "By your might, I will surely mislead them all 82 except for those among them who are Your chosen servants." 83 He (i.e. Allah) said: “This is the Truth -- and I only speak the Truth -- 84 Most certainly will I fill hell with thee and such of them as shall follow thee, all together!" 85 Say: I do not ask you for any reward for it; nor am I of those who affect: 86 It is naught but an admonition unto the worlds. 87 You will come to know its truth in time." 88
