Nay, by the moon, 32 And by the Night as it retreateth, 33 And the daybreak when it shines; 34 Verily it is one of the greatest woes. 35 It is a warning for mankind 36 To any of you that chooses to press forward, or to follow behind;- 37 Every soul is a pledge for its own deeds; 38 except those of the right hand 39 In Gardens (Paradise) they will ask one another, 40 About Al-Mujrimun (polytheists, criminals, disbelievers, etc.), (And they will say to them): 41 "What has caused you to enter Hell?" 42 They will answer: “We were not among those who observed Prayer, 43 And we have not been feeding the poor. 44 And we used to enter into vain discourse with those who engaged [in it], 45 And rejected the Day of Judgement as a lie 46 until death approached us". 47 So the intercession of intercessors shall not avail them. 48 What is the matter with them that they turn away from this Reminder, 49 As if they were frightened (wild) donkeys. 50 Fleeing from a hunter, or a lion, or a beast of prey. 51 Indeed, each one of them desires to be given unrolled scrolls. 52 This will certainly never be the case! In fact, they are not afraid of the Day of Judgment. 53 No, indeed, surely, this is a Reminder. 54 Then whoever wills will remember it. 55 No one will seek guidance unless God wills it. He alone is worthy of being feared and He is the Source of Forgiveness. 56
