In the Name of God, the Merciful, the Compassionate
By the heaven adorned with big stars. 1 And the promised day, 2 And the bearer of witness and those against whom the witness is borne. 3 Cursed be the makers of the pit, 4 The people of the fuelled blazing fire. 5 When they sat by it 6 fully conscious of what they are doing to the believers, 7 They had naught against them save that they believed in Allah, the Mighty, the Owner of Praise, 8 To Him only belongs the kingship of the heavens and the earth; and Allah is a Witness over all things. 9 Indeed those who troubled the Muslim men and Muslim women, and then did not repent – for them is the punishment of hell, and for them is the punishment of fire. 10 Indeed, those who have believed and done righteous deeds will have gardens beneath which rivers flow. That is the great attainment. 11 Indeed, the vengeance of your Lord is severe. 12 It is He who originates and repeats. 13 He is the All-forgiving, the Most Loving One, 14 The Lord of the Glorious Throne, 15 and the Most Effective in His decision. 16 Has there reached you the story of the soldiers - 17 Of Firon and Samood? 18 And yet, they who are bent on denying the truth persist in giving it the lie: 19 although Allah surrounds them. 20 Nay, but it is a glorious Qur'an. 21 in a guarded tablet. 22
True are the words of God the Almighty.

(1) وقف لازم، حيث يستخدم الرسم الإنجليزي نقطة وقف. (2) وقف جائز مع الوقف أولى، حيث يستخدم الرسم الإنجليزي فاصلة قد تظهر باحتمال الثلثين. When reading the Colorful Quran in English transliterated Arabic mode, you may not notice that there is an algorithm designed to match the pause requirements of the original Arabic scripture, (waqf signs). As you may know, the original Arabic Quran has five main types of pauses, (waqf) signs. (1) Compulsory break, where the transliteration uses a full stop. (2) Optional pause with the preference for pausing, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a probability of two thirds. (3) Optional stop with an equal preference for pausing and resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a half-half probability. (4) Optional pause with the preference for resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a chance of one third. (5) Attraction pause, also called hugging, or (mu’anaka) sign, where it is compulsory to pause at either one of two nearby positions, but not both; where the transliteration inserts a comma at either one of the two locations with a half-half probability.
