Al-Infitaar

Shattering (Al-Infitaar)

19 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Snatchers (Al-Naze'aat) before The Splitting (Al-Inshiqaaq)

In the name of Allah, the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful

۞ When the heaven shall be cleft, 1 when the stars are scattered, 2 And when the seas are burst forth (got dried up); 3 When the graves are overturned, 4 Every soul shall know what it has sent before and held back. 5 O man! what hath beguiled thee concerning thy Lord, the Bountiful, 6 Who created you then formed your symmetry, then gave you right proportion, 7 in whatever composition He wanted. 8 Rather, you belied the Recompense. 9 And most surely there are keepers over you 10 Illustrious scribes 11 aware of whatever you do! 12 Behold, [in the life to come] the truly virtuous: will indeed be in bliss, 13 But the wicked, indeed they shall be in the Fiery Furnace, 14 [a fire] which they shall enter on Judgment Day, 15 to burn therein. 16 And what shall teach thee what is the Day of Doom? 17 Again would that you only knew how terrible it really is! 18 It is the Day when a soul will not possess for another soul [power to do] a thing; and the command, that Day, is [entirely] with Allah. 19

Allah Almighty has spoken the truth.
