۞ And when the son of Mary is quoted as an example, behold! the folk laugh out, 57 And say: Are our gods better, or is he? They raise not the objection save for argument. Nay! but they are a contentious folk. 58 He is naught but a bondman: him We favoured, and him We made an ensample unto the Children of Israil. 59 If We pleased We could have put angels in place of you as trustees on the earth. 60 And lo! verily there is knowledge of the Hour. So doubt ye not concerning it, but follow Me. This is the right path. 61 Let not Satan bar you; he is for you a manifest foe. 62 When Jesus came with clear proofs (of Allah's Sovereignty), he said: I have come unto you with wisdom, and to make plain some of that concerning which ye differ. So keep your duty to Allah, and obey me. 63 For God, He is my Lord and your Lord: so worship Him: that is a straight path." 64 But sects from among themselves fell into disagreement: then woe to the wrong-doers, from the Penalty of a Grievous Day! 65 Are they waiting for the Hour of Doom when the torment will suddenly strike them and they will not even realize from where it came? 66 On that Day even bosom friends shall become enemies to one another, all except the God-fearing. 67
