The Galaxies (Al-Burooj)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
By oath of the heaven which contains the constellations. 1 And by the Day promised, 2 And the witness and the witnessed, 3 Cursed were the people of the ditch (the story of the Boy and the King). 4 the fire abounding in fuel, 5 When they were sitting near it 6 And they, to what they were doing against the believers, were witnesses. 7 And they did not take vengeance on them for aught except that they believed in Allah, the Mighty, the Praised, 8 Whose kingdom spreads over the heavens and the earth. God is witness over everything. 9 Surely (as for) those who persecute the believing men and the believing women, then do not repent, they shall have the chastisement of hell, and they shall have the chastisement of burning. 10 But those who believe and do good deeds shall be rewarded with gardens watered by flowing rivers. That is the supreme triumph. 11 Lo! the punishment of thy Lord is stern. 12 Verily, He it is Who begins (punishment) and repeats (punishment in the Hereafter) (or originates the creation of everything, and then repeats it on the Day of Resurrection). 13 And He is Oft-Forgiving, full of love (towards the pious who are real true believers of Islamic Monotheism), 14 Lord of the Throne, the Glorious, 15 The Doer of whatever He wants. 16 Did the story of the armies reach you? 17 [Those of] Pharaoh and Thamud? 18 But those who disbelieve are engaged in denial. 19 but all the while God encompasses them [with His knowledge and might] without their being aware of it. 20 Nay! it is a glorious Quran, 21 In a guarded tablet. 22
