The Comet (Al-Taareq)

17 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Town (Al-Balad) before The Moon (Al-Qamar)

In the name of Allah, the Merciful, the Compassionate

By the heaven and the Morning Star 1 And what can make you know what is the night comer? 2 (It is) the piercing star. 3 Over every soul there is a watcher. 4 LET MAN, then, observe out of what he has been created: 5 He was created of spurting water 6 emanating from between the loins and the ribs. 7 Surely He (the Creator) has the power to bring him back (to life). 8 On the day when hidden thoughts shall be searched out. 9 (Man) will have no power, and no helper. 10 I swear by the raingiving heavens, 11 And by the earth which splitteth, 12 Verily, it is a discourse distinguishing. 13 not a flippant jest. 14 Verily they are plotting a plot. 15 but I shall bring all their scheming to nought. 16 So leave the unbelievers to themselves; respite them awhile. 17
