Now, behold, this [divine writ] has indeed been bestowed from on high by the Sustainer of all the worlds: 192 Which the trustworthy Ruh [Jibrael (Gabriel)] has brought down; 193 to your heart, so that you will warn (the people of the dangers of disobeying God). 194 in a clear, Arabic tongue. 195 And verily it is in the Scriptures of the ancients. 196 Is it not a Sign to them - (to wit, the Makkans) - that the learned men of the Children of Israel know that? 197 And if We had revealed it (this Quran) unto any of the non-Arabs, 198 and he had recited it to them, they would not have believed in it. 199 Thus do We make it traverse the hearts of the guilty. 200 They will not believe in it until they suffer the painful torment. 201 that will come upon them [on resurrection,] all of a sudden, without their being aware [of its approach]; 202 Then they will say: "Can we be respited?" 203 Do they want to hasten Our torment? 204 Have you then considered if We let them enjoy themselves for years, 205 and then what they were promised comes to them, 206 They would not be availed by the enjoyment with which they were provided. 207 Never have We destroyed a town without sending down messengers to warn it, 208 To remind, and We are never unjust. 209 And the devils have not brought the revelation down. 210 Neither would it suit them, nor they can (produce it). 211 Most surely they are far removed from the hearing of it. 212 Hence, [O man,] do not invoke any other deity side by side with God, lest thou find thyself among those who are made to suffer [on Judgment Day]. 213 Warn your tribe and your near kinsmen. 214 and be kind to your believing followers. 215 Then if they disobey you, say: "I am innocent of what you do." 216 Have trust in the Majestic and All-merciful God, 217 Who sees you (O Muhammad SAW) when you stand up (alone at night for Tahajjud prayers). 218 and when thou turnest about among those who bow. 219 He is the All Hearing, the All Knowing. 220 Shall I inform you (O people!) upon whom the Shayatin (devils) descend? 221 They descend upon every calumniator, sinner. 222 (Into whose ears) they pour hearsay vanities, and most of them are liars. 223 Poets are followed by the perverse. 224 Did you not see that they keep wandering in every valley? 225 And that they say what they do not do. 226 Except those who believe (in the Oneness of Allah Islamic Monotheism), and do righteous deeds, and remember Allah much, and reply back (in poetry) to the unjust poetry (which the pagan poets utter against the Muslims). And those who do wrong will come to know by what overturning they will be overturned. 227
True are the words of Allah the Almighty.
