Hizb 46

And indeed Yunus is one of the Noble Messengers. 139 Call to mind when he fled to the laden ship, 140 And lots were cast (when a storm overtook them), he was rejected, (and thrown overboard). 141 The fish then swallowed him and he blamed himself. (For not waiting for Allah’s command.) 142 Had he not been one of those who glorify Allah, 143 he would certainly have remained inside the fish until the Day of Resurrection. 144 ۞ But We threw him onto the open shore while he was ill. 145 We made a plant of gourd grow up for him. 146 And We sent him to [his people of] a hundred thousand or more. 147 So they accepted faith We therefore gave them usage for a while. 148 So ask them for a pronouncement -- Has thy Lord daughters, and they sons? 149 Or created We the angels females while they were witnesses? 150 Behold, it is one of their fabrications that they say: 151 'God has begotten a son.' They are certainly liars. 152 (And again of their falsehood): He hath preferred daughters to sons. 153 What aileth you? How judge ye? 154 What, will you not remember? 155 Or, is there for you a clear warranty 156 Bring your Book, if what you say is true! 157 They assert kinship between Him and the angels. But the angels know that they (the liars) will be arraigned (in Hell). 158 Glorified is Allah! (He is Free) from what they attribute unto Him! 159 but not so the true servants of God, 160 For, verily, neither ye nor those ye worship- 161 you shall not tempt any against Him 162 except those who will burn in Hell. 163 As for us, there is none but has an appointed station. 164 Verily, we (angels), we stand in rows for the prayers (as you Muslims stand in rows for your prayers); 165 And we are they who exalt (Allah)' 166 And indeed they used to say: 167 "If only we had a tradition [to this effect] from our forebears, 168 then were we God's sincere servants.' 169 But (now that the Quran has come) they disbelieve therein (i.e. in the Quran and in Prophet Muhammad SAW, and all that which he brought, the Divine Revelation), so they will come to know! 170 Our word had already been given before to Our votaries, the apostles, -- 171 [That] indeed, they would be those given victory 172 and that it is Our host that would certainly triumph. 173 So, [O Muhammad], leave them for a time. 174 Watch them: they will soon see. 175 Do they seek to hasten on Our Torment? 176 So when it does descend in their courtyards so what an evil morning it will be for those who were warned! 177 So turn away from them for a while. 178 and see; soon they shall see! 179 Exaltations be to your Lord, the Lord of Might, above that they describe! 180 And peace is upon the Noble Messengers. 181 and praise be to God, the Lord of all the Worlds. 182
True are the words of Allah the Almighty.
End of Surah: The Arrangers (Al-Saaffaat). Sent down in Mecca after Animals (Al-An 'aam) before Luqmaan (Luqmaan)
