Now surely, unto Pharaoh's folk [too] came such warnings; 41 but they belied all Our signs so We seized them with the seizing of the Mighty, Powerful. 42 Are your unbelievers (of Makkah) any better than they? Or have you been granted any immunity in the Scriptures? 43 Or do they say: 'We are a gathering that will be victorious' 44 The hosts will all be routed and will turn and flee. 45 But the Hour is their appointment [for due punishment], and the Hour is more disastrous and more bitter. 46 Surely the sinners are misguided and insane. 47 On that Day they will be dragged into the fire faces foremost, (and told:) "Taste the feel of Hell." 48 Verily everything! We have created it by a measure. 49 And Our command is but one, like a glance of the eye. 50 And We have already destroyed your kinds, so is there any who will remember? 51 Whatever they have done has been recorded in the Books (records of the deeds). 52 every action, small or great, is noted down. 53 Indeed, the cautious shall live amid gardens and a river, 54 in a sure abode, in the presence of a King Omnipotent. 55
