The All Compassionate (Al-Rahman)
In the name of God, The Most Gracious, The Dispenser of Grace
۞ AR-RAHMAN 1 Has taught the Qur’an to His beloved Prophet (Mohammed – peace and blessings be upon him). 2 He created man. 3 He has imparted unto him articulate thought and speech. 4 The sun and the moon are in a reckoning. 5 [before Him] prostrate themselves the stars and the trees. 6 And Allah has raised the sky; and He has set the balance. 7 that you may not transgress in the balance, 8 And observe the weight with equity, and make not deficient the balance. 9 It is He Who has spread out the earth for (His) creatures: 10 Wherein are fruit and sheathed palm-trees, 11 and a variety of corn with both husk and grain. 12 Which is it, of the favours of your Lord, that ye deny? 13 He created man from dry clay like earthen vessels, 14 and He created the jinn of a smokeless fire. 15 Which is it, of the favours of your Lord, that ye deny? 16 Lord of the two easts and of the two wests is He. 17 Which, then, of the benefits of your Lord will ye twain belie? 18 He has made the two seas to flow freely (so that) they meet together: 19 Between them is a barrier which none of them can transgress. 20 Which of your Lord's wonders would you deny? 21 Out of them come pearls and coral. 22 So which of the favors of your Lord would you deny? 23 His are the ships, towering on the sea like mountains. 24 Which, then, of your Sustainer's powers can you disavow? 25
