The Galaxies (Al-Burooj)
In the Name of God, the Merciful, the Compassionate
By the heavens with constellations, 1 And by the Promised Day. 2 By the witness and the witnessed! 3 Cursed be the makers of the pit, 4 Fire supplied (abundantly) with fuel: 5 when they were seated around it 6 And they were witnesses of what they did with the believers. 7 The only reason for which they tormented the believers was the latter's belief in God, the Majestic, and Praiseworthy. 8 Him to Whom belongs the dominion of the heavens and the earth! And Allah is Witness to all things. 9 Those who persecute the believing men and believing women, and then do not repent, will surely suffer the punishment of Hell, and the torment of burning. 10 But those who believe and do good deeds shall be rewarded with gardens watered by flowing rivers. That is the supreme triumph. 11 The grip of your Lord is severe indeed! 12 Verily, He it is Who begins (punishment) and repeats (punishment in the Hereafter) (or originates the creation of everything, and then repeats it on the Day of Resurrection). 13 and He is the Ever Forgiving, the Most Loving 14 Owner of the Throne, the Exalted. 15 a sovereign doer of whatever He wills. 16 Has the story of the armies reached you, 17 Of Firon and Samood? 18 The unbelievers are indeed engaged in denying it, calling it a lie, 19 Whereas Allah is, from behind them, Encompassing. 20 What is revealed to you is certainly a glorious Quran 21 in a guarded tablet. 22
