The Forenoon (Al-Duhaa)
11 verses, revealed in Mecca after Dawn (Al-Fajr) before Cooling the Temper (Al-Sharrhh)
In the Name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
By the midday brightness 1 and by the night when it darkens, 2 your Lord has not forsaken you, nor is He displeased with you, 3 for, indeed, the life to come will be better for thee than this earlier part [of thy life]! 4 Thy Lord shall give thee, and thou shalt be satisfied. 5 Did He not find you an orphan and then gave you shelter? 6 And find you lost (that is, unrecognized by men) and guide (them to you)? 7 And found you in need, so made you prosperous? 8 Therefore do not oppress the orphan. 9 Nor repulse the petitioner (unheard); 10 and proclaim the bounties of your Lord. 11
True are the words of God the Almighty.
