And of mankind is he who worshippeth Allah as on edge; if there befalleth him good, he is contented therewith, and if there befalleth him a trial, he turneth round on his face; he loseth the world and the Hereafter: that indeed is a loss manifest! 11 They worship things instead of God which can neither harm them nor benefit them. This is indeed to stray far away from the right path. 12 He calls unto him whose harm is nearer than his profit; certainly, and evil Maula (patron) and certainly an evil friend! 13 Verily Allah shall cause those who believe and work righteous works to enter Gardens whereunder rivers flow; verily Allah doth whatsoever He intendeth. 14 Whoever thinks that Allah will not help him (Muhammad SAW) in this world and in the Hereafter, let him stretch out a rope to the ceiling and let him strangle himself. Then let him see whether his plan will remove that whereat he rages! 15 As such We have sent it in clear verses. Indeed, Allah gives guidance to whom He will. 16 Verily, as for those who have attained to faith [in this divine writ,] and those who follow the Jewish faith, and the Sabians, and the Christians, and the Magians, [on the one hand,] and those who are bent on ascribing divinity to aught but God, [on the other,] verily, God will decide between them on Resurrection Day: for, behold, God is witness unto everything. 17 Do you not see that Allah is He, Whom obeys whoever is in the heavens and whoever is in the earth, and the sun and the moon and the stars, and the mountains and the trees, and the animals and many of the people; and many there are against whom chastisement has become necessary; and whomsoever Allah abases, there is none who can make him honorable; surely Allah does what He pleases. ۩ 18 ۞ These two groups, [the believers and those who deny the truth], dispute concerning their Lord. Those who deny the truth will have garments of fire cut out for them; and boiling water will be poured down over their heads, 19 With it shall be melted what is in their bellies and (their) skins as well. 20 And for them are whips of iron. 21 and every time they try in their anguish to come out of it, they shall be returned thereto and [be told]: "Taste suffering through fire [to the full]!" 22
