[O Men!] Are you more difficult to create than the heaven which He has built, 27 and raised its vault high and proportioned it; 28 Gave darkness to its night, and brightness to its day; 29 And the earth, He expanded it after that. 30 and has caused its waters to come out of it, and its pastures, 31 And the mountains, He made them firm, 32 all this as provision for you and your cattle. 33 When the great over-whelming event arrives, 34 on the Day when man will recall all his strivings, 35 and Hell is there for all to see, 36 Then as for him who waxed exorbitant, 37 and preferred the life of this world, 38 surely, Hell will be their refuge. 39 But unto him who shall have stood in fear of his Sustainer's Presence, and held back his inner self from base desires, 40 indeed, their refuge shall be Paradise. 41 They will question thee concerning the Hour, when it shall berth. 42 Wherein art thou concerned with the declaration thereof! 43 Its knowledge rests with your Lord. 44 Thou art only the warner of him who fears it. 45 On the Day when they behold it, it will be as if they had lingered but an evening, or, a morning. 46
