Al-Takweer
The Rolling (Al-Takweer)
29 verses, revealed in Mecca after Thorns (Al-Masad) before The All High (Al-A'alaa)
In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful
When the sunlight is rolled up. 1 And when the stars shall fall; 2 And when the hills are moved, 3 And when the camels big with young are abandoned, 4 And when wild animals are herded together. 5 And when the seas rise, 6 when the souls shall be coupled, 7 And when the girl-child who was buried alive is asked. 8 for what crime she had been slain, 9 when the scrolls are unrolled, 10 When the world on High is unveiled; 11 And when Hell-fire shall be kindled to fierce ablaze. 12 And when the Garden is brought near;- 13 then, each soul shall know what it has produced. 14 BUT NAY! I call to witness the revolving stars, 15 The planets withdrawing into themselves, 16 and by the night as it recedes, 17 And by the morning when it shineth forth, 18 Verily this is the word of a noble message-bearer; 19 [Who is] possessed of power and with the Owner of the Throne, secure [in position], 20 The one who is obeyed, and trustworthy. (Other angels obey angel Jibreel). 21 Your companion is not one possessed: 22 And without doubt he saw him in the clear horizon. 23 he is not grudging of the Unseen. 24 Nor is it the word of the cursed Shaitan, 25 Whither then go ye? 26 This is naught else than a reminder unto creation, 27 for whosoever of you who would go straight; 28 But ye shall not will except as Allah wills,- the Cherisher of the Worlds. 29
God Almighty has spoken the truth.
