Have you considered he who turns his back, 33 And he gave a little, then refrained? 34 Is with him knowledge of the unseen so that he seeth? 35 Or hath he not had news of what is in the books of Moses 36 and Abraham, he who paid his debt in full? 37 That no soul laden bears the load of another, 38 And that man hath only that for which he maketh effort, 39 And that his endeavour shall be presently observed. 40 and that he shall then be fully recompensed, 41 And that thy Lord, He is the goal; 42 And that it is He who makes [one] laugh and weep 43 And that it is He Who gave death and gave life? 44 and He it is Who created the two kinds, the male and the female, 45 from a discharged living germ 46 And that only upon Him is the next revival? 47 And that it is He who enriches and suffices 48 And that it is He Who is the Lord of Sirius. 49 And that it is He (Allah) Who destroyed the former 'Ad (people), 50 and Thamud tribes, 51 and the people of Noah; they were the most unjust and rebellious people. 52 And He brought perdition upon the subverted cities 53 and then covered them from sight forever. 54 So which then of your Lord's favors do you dispute? 55 This is a warning just like those of former times. 56 The Day of Judgment is drawing nearer. 57 None but God can avert it. 58 Do you then marvel at this discourse, 59 and do you laugh, and do you not weep, 60 While you are indulging in varieties. 61 So make obeisance to Allah and serve (Him). ۩ 62
