The Comet (Al-Taareq)
In the Name of God, the Merciful, the Compassionate
By the heavens and al-tariq. 1 And what will make you to know what At-Tariq (night-comer) is? 2 The star of piercing brightness; 3 No human soul but hath a guardian over it. 4 Let man consider what he was made of: 5 He is created from a water gushing forth. 6 emanating from between the loins and the ribs. 7 God has all power to resurrect him. 8 On a Day whereon secrets shall be out. 9 he shall have no power, and no helper. 10 By the sky (having rain clouds) which gives rain, again and again. 11 and by the earth bursting with vegetation; 12 That this (Qur'an) is a decisive word 13 It is no pleasantry. 14 They (disbelievers) plot every evil plan, 15 but I shall bring all their scheming to nought. 16 So respite the unbelievers; delay with them awhile. 17
