The Galloppers (Al-Aadeyaat)
11 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Afternoon (Al-'Asr) before Bounty (Al-Kawthar)
In the Name of God, the Merciful, the Compassionate
By the (steeds) that run, with panting (breath), 1 And the producers of sparks [when] striking 2 then raid by the dawn, 3 Then, therewith, with their trail of dust, 4 Penetrating deep into the armies, 5 Indeed man is very ungrateful towards his Lord. 6 And lo! he is a witness unto that; 7 for, verily, to the love of wealth is he most ardently devoted. 8 ۞ Does he not then know when what is in the graves is raised, 9 and the secrets of the hearts are laid bare (and examined)? 10 surely on that day their Lord shall be aware of them! 11
True are the words of God the Almighty.
