The Believers (Al-Mu' minoon)
In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
۞ Successful indeed are the believers; 1 Who are humble in their prayers, 2 and from idle talk turn away 3 pay their religious tax 4 And who guard their private parts, 5 Save from their wives or the (slaves) that their right hands possess, for then they are not blameworthy, 6 But those whose desires exceed those limits are transgressors;- 7 who are true to their trusts and their covenants, 8 and those who attend to their prayers; 9 They are the inheritors. 10 Who shall inherit Paradise; therein they shall be abiders. 11 Indeed We created man from a chosen soil. 12 then We made him, a drop, in a secure receptacle (the womb). 13 then We developed that drop into a clinging form, and We developed that form into a lump of flesh, and We developed that lump into bones, and clothed the bones with flesh. Then We brought him into being as a new creation, glory be to God, the best of creators, 14 After that, surely, you will die. 15 Then lo! on the Day of Resurrection ye are raised (again). 16 And We have made, above you, seven tracts; and We are never unmindful of (our) Creation. 17 And We sent down from the sky water (rain) in (due) measure, and We gave it lodging in the earth, and verily, We are Able to take it away. 18 So with it We produced gardens of date-palms and grapes for you, in which is abundant fruit for you and you eat therefrom. 19 and a tree issuing from the Mount of Sinai that bears oil and seasoning for all to eat. 20 And lo! in the cattle there is verily a lesson for you. We give you to drink of that which is in their bellies, and many uses have ye in them, and of them do ye eat; 21 and you ride on them as you do in ships. 22
