۞ AND [there came a time when] We inspired Moses thus: "Go forth with My servants by night: for, behold, you will be pursued!" 52 And Pharaoh sent forth heralds to all the cities. 53 'These' they said, 'are a small band, 54 and indeed they are enraging us; 55 “And indeed we are an alert army.” 56 and so we have [rightly] driven them out of [their] gardens and springs, 57 Treasures, and every kind of honourable place. 58 This happened with them; (but on the other hand), We enabled the Children of Israel to inherit those bounties. 59 And they overtook them at sunrise. 60 and as soon as the two hosts came in sight of one another, the followers of Moses exclaimed: "Behold, we shall certainly be overtaken [and defeated]!" 61 'No, indeed' he replied, 'my Lord is with me and He will guide me' 62 Then We bade Moses strike the sea with his staff. And it parted, and each part was like a huge mountain. 63 Then We brought near the others [Fir'aun's (Pharaoh) party] to that place. 64 And We saved Moosa and all those with him. 65 Then We drowned the others. 66 Verily there is a sign in this, but most of them do not believe. 67 Surely thy Lord, He is the All-mighty, the All-compassionate. 68
