The people of Aykah also gave the lie to the Messengers. 176 Behold, Shu'aib said to them: "Will ye not fear (Allah)? 177 "I am to you a messenger worthy of all trust. 178 I ask of you no wage for this; 179 I ask of you no wage for this; my wage is only with the Lord of the Worlds. 180 ۞ Fill up the measure and do not diminish the goods of people, 181 "And weigh with scales true and upright. 182 do not defraud people of what is rightfully theirs; and do not spread corruption in the land. 183 and have fear of Him Who created you and the earlier generations." 184 They said, 'Thou art merely one of those that are bewitched; 185 “You are just a human like us, and indeed we consider you a liar.” 186 Cause, then, fragments of the sky to fall down upon us, if thou art a man of truth!" 187 He said: My Lord knows best what you do. 188 But they belied him, then the punishment of the Day of Shadow (raining fire) seized them. Truly, it was the punishment of a dreadful day. 189 Lo! herein is indeed a portent; yet most of them are not believers. 190 And verily thy Lord is He, the Exalted in Might, Most Merciful. 191
