We saved the Children of Israel from their humiliating torment 30 From Fir'aun (Pharaoh); Verily! He was arrogant and was of the Musrifun (those who transgress beyond bound in spending and other things and commit great sins). 31 And We chose them (the Children of Israel) above the 'Alamin (mankind, and jinns) [during the time of Musa (Moses)] with knowledge, 32 and gave them such signs [of Our grace] as would clearly presage a test. 33 Even then they say: 34 "That [which is ahead of us] is but our first [and only] death, and we shall not be raised to life again. 35 Then bring [back] our forefathers, if you should be truthful." 36 Are they better than the people of Tubba' and those who came before them? We destroyed them, because they were guilty of sin. 37 We have not created the heavens and the earth and all that lies between them, out of play. 38 We did not create them except in Truth. But most of them do not know. 39 Surely the day of separation is their appointed term, of all of them 40 The Day when no relation will avail a relation at all, nor will they be helped - 41 save those to whom God shows mercy. Surely, He is the Mighty, the Merciful One. 42
