Al-Takweer
The Rolling (Al-Takweer)
29 verses, revealed in Mecca after Thorns (Al-Masad) before The All High (Al-A'alaa)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
When the sun Kuwwirat (wound round and lost its light and is overthrown). 1 and when the stars lose their light, 2 And when the mountains are removed 3 And when full-term she-camels are neglected 4 the wild beasts are herded together, 5 And when the seas shall be filled, 6 when the souls are divided into different classes, 7 and when the girl-child that was buried alive is made to ask 8 For what sin she was killed? 9 and when the scrolls [of men's deeds] are unfolded, 10 and when heaven is laid bare, 11 And when the Scorch shall be made to blaze, 12 when Paradise is brought near, 13 (Then) every soul will know what it hath made ready. 14 BUT NAY! I call to witness the revolving stars, 15 the planets that run their course and set, 16 by the night swarming, 17 and the first breath of morning. 18 Verily it is a Word brought by a messenger honoured, 19 The processor of strength, having an honorable place with the Lord of the Dominion, 20 (One) to be obeyed, and trustworthy; 21 And your companion is not [at all] mad. 22 he truly beheld [the angel - beheld] him on the clear horizon; 23 And Muhammad is not a withholder of [knowledge of] the unseen. 24 Nor is it the word of a satan accursed. 25 When whither go ye? 26 This is a reminder for all the peoples of the world, 27 for whosoever of you would go straight, 28 And ye will not, unless (it be) that Allah willeth, the Lord of Creation. 29
God Almighty has spoken the truth.
