Al-Duhaa

The Forenoon (Al-Duhaa)

11 verses, revealed in Mecca after Dawn (Al-Fajr) before Cooling the Temper (Al-Sharrhh)

In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful

By the morning brightness 1 By the night when it darkeneth, 2 your Lord has not forsaken you, nor is He displeased with you, 3 and the Last shall be better for thee than the First. 4 And your Lord is going to give you, and you will be satisfied. 5 Did He not find you an orphan and take care of you? 6 Did He not find you perplexed, and show you the way? 7 And did He not find you in need and make you rich? 8 Therefor the orphan oppress not, 9 And as for the petitioner, do not repel [him]. 10 Therefor of the bounty of thy Lord be thy discourse. 11
