Drivers of the Winds (Al-Dhaareyaat)
In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
By the swift scatterers 1 And the clouds bearing a load. 2 And those [ships] sailing with ease 3 and distributing the command of God at His behest! 4 Verily that which ye are promised is true; 5 The Judgement will indeed take place. 6 CONSIDER the firmament full of starry paths! 7 your ideas are confused. 8 Let whoever wishes, turn away from Our Quran. 9 Death to those whose opinions are merely baseless conjectures. 10 Those who (flounder) heedless in a flood of confusion: 11 They ask; "When will be the Day of Recompense?" 12 The day they will be burnt in the Fire, 13 Taste your persecution! this is what you would hasten on. 14 The righteous shall live among gardens and fountains, 15 Taking what their Lord gives them; surely they were before that, the doers of good. 16 They used to sleep only a little during the night. 17 And in the hours before dawn, they were (found) asking (Allah) for forgiveness, 18 And the beggar and the destitute had a share in their wealth. 19 On the earth are signs for those of assured Faith, 20 and also in your own selves. Do you not see? 21 And in heaven is your Sustenance, as (also) that which ye are promised. 22 By the Lord of the heaven and the earth, it is certainly the truth. It is as true as your ability to speak. 23
