The All High (Al-A'alaa)
In the name of Allah, the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful
۞ Glorify the name of your Lord, the Most High, 1 Who has created (all things) proportionately, 2 who determines the nature [of all that exists], and guided it accordingly; 3 And Who bringeth forth the pasturage, 4 And then makes it dark stubble. 5 We shall teach you (the Quran) and you will not forget it 6 unless God wills it to be otherwise. He knows all that is made public and all that remains hidden. 7 We shall ease you to the easy. 8 Therefore remind (men) in case the reminder profits (them). 9 in mind will keep it he who stands in awe [of God,] 10 And the wretched shunneth it. 11 and suffer the heat of the great fire 12 In which he will neither die nor live. 13 Prosperous is he who purifies himself, 14 And magnifies the name of his Lord and prays. 15 But no, you prefer the life of the world, 16 although the Hereafter is better and more lasting. 17 Lo! This is in the former scrolls. 18 The scriptures of Abraham and Moses. 19
