The Forenoon (Al-Duhaa)
11 verses, revealed in Mecca after Dawn (Al-Fajr) before Cooling the Temper (Al-Sharrhh)
In the Name of Allah, the Most Beneficent, the Most Merciful
I swear by the early hours of the day, 1 and by the night when it covers the world with peace: 2 Your Lord has neither left you, nor despises you. 3 And surely what comes after is better for you than that which has gone before. 4 Your Lord will give you, and you will be satisfied. 5 Did He not find you an orphan and take care of you? 6 Did He not find you wandering, and give you guidance? 7 And found thee in want, and given thee sufficiency? 8 So as for the orphan, do not oppress [him]. 9 And as for him who asks, do not chide (him), 10 And proclaim the Grace of your Lord (i.e. the Prophethood and all other Graces). 11
True are the words of Allah the Almighty.
