[O MEN! Pay heed to God's messages,] for it is He who has endowed you with hearing, and sight, and minds: [yet] how seldom are you grateful! 78 It is He who scattered you in the earth, and to Him you shall be mustered. 79 And He it is who grants life and deals death; and to Him is due the alternation of night and day. Will you not, then, use your reason? 80 Nay, but they say the like of that which said the men of old; 81 They say: When we are dead and have become (mere) dust and bones, shall we then, forsooth, be raised again? 82 We and our fathers have been promised this before; this is naught but the fairy-tales of the ancients.' 83 Say O dear Prophet (Mohammed – peace and blessings be upon him), “To Whom does the earth and all that is in it belong to, if you know?” 84 They will say, "To God." Say, "So will you not pay heed? 85 Say: "Who is the Lord of the seven heavens, and the Lord of the Throne (of Glory) Supreme?" 86 They will say: "Allah." Say: "Will you not then fear Allah (believe in His Oneness, obey Him, believe in the Resurrection and Recompense for each and every good or bad deed)." 87 Say "In Whose Hand is the sovereignty of everything (i.e. treasures of each and everything)? And He protects (all), while against Whom there is no protector, (i.e. if Allah saves anyone none can punish or harm him, and if Allah punishes or harms anyone none can save him), if you know." [Tafsir Al-Qurtubi, Vol. 12, Page 145] 88 They will say: "God's." Say: "Then why are you so deluded?" 89 No, We have brought the truth to them, but they are liars. 90 God has not taken to Himself any son, nor is there any god with Him; for then each god would have taken off that he created and some of them would have risen up over others; glory to be God, beyond that they describe, 91 [He is] Knower of the unseen and the witnessed, so high is He above what they associate [with Him]. 92
