Did the news of Ibrahim’s honourable guests reach you (O dear Prophet Mohammed – peace and blessings be upon him)? 24 When they came in unto him and said: Peace! he answered, Peace! (and thought): Folk unknown (to me). 25 Then he turned quickly to his household, brought out a fatted calf, 26 He placed it before them. Then he said, "Why are you not eating?" 27 Then he conceived a fear about them, and they said: 'Have no fear', and gave him the glad tidings that he was to have a knowledgeable son. 28 But his wife came forward (laughing) aloud: she smote her forehead and said: "A barren old woman!" 29 They said: Even so saith thy Lord. Lo! He is the Wise, the Knower. 30 ۞ Abraham said: “Envoys (of Allah), what is your errand?” 31 They said: "We have been sent to a people who are Mujrimun (polytheists, sinners, criminals, disbelievers in Allah); 32 “To throw upon them stones of baked clay.” 33 marked with thy Lord for the prodigal. 34 We saved all the faithful in the town. 35 but We found only one Muslim house. 36 We left a sign in this for those who fear the grievous punishment, 37 And in Moses [was a sign], when We sent him to Pharaoh with clear authority. 38 In response, he turned away along with his army and said, “He is a magician or a madman.” 39 We therefore seized him and his army and threw them into the sea, while he was blaming himself. 40 And in the tribe of A’ad, when we sent a dry windstorm upon them. 41 It left out nothing in its path, but which it split up into fragments. 42 And in Thamud's also was a lesson, when it was said unto them: enjoy yourselves for a season. 43 But they rebelled against their Lord's decree, and so the thunderbolt overtook them even while they gazed; 44 for they were unable even to rise, and could not defend themselves. 45 And before them the nation of Noah, indeed they were a debauched nation. 46
