Noah said: "O my Lord! They have disobeyed me, but they follow (men) whose wealth and children give them no increase but only Loss. 21 "And they have devised a tremendous Plot. 22 And who have said: ye shall not leave your gods; nor shall ye leave Wadd nor Suwa', nor Yaghuth, nor Ya'uq nor Nasr. 23 "And so they have led many a one astray: hence, ordain Thou that these evildoers stray but farther and farther away [from all that they may desire]!" 24 And because of their transgressions they were drowned, and admitted into a Fire, for they found not, apart from God, any to help them. 25 Noah said, "Lord, do not leave a single disbeliever on earth; 26 If Thou shouldst leave them, they will mislead Thy slaves and will beget none save lewd ingrates. 27 Lord! Forgive me and my parents and every true believer who enters my house, forgive all the believing men and believing women; and bestow no increase upon the wrongdoers except in ruin? 28

قراءة القرآن مترجماً إلى الإنجليزية أو أية لغة أخرى أشبه بقراءة كتب التفسير من قراءة ترجمات حرفية.
Reading the Quran translated into English, or any other language, is more like reading books of interpretation than reading literal translations.
