Shattering (Al-Infitaar)
19 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Snatchers (Al-Naze'aat) before The Splitting (Al-Inshiqaaq)
In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful
۞ When the Sky is cleft asunder; 1 When the planets are dispersed, 2 When the seas are poured forth, 3 And when the graves are turned upside down (and they bring out their contents) 4 Every soul will come to know what it has sent ahead and what it left behind. 5 Human being, what evil has deceived you about your Gracious Lord, 6 Who created you, shaped you, and made you well-proportioned, 7 In whatsoever form He listed He constructed thee. 8 By no means! Aye, ye belie the Requital. 9 Surely, there are guardians watching over you, 10 Kiraman (honourable) Katibin writing down (your deeds). 11 They know whatever you do. 12 the virtuous will dwell in bliss, 13 and the wicked shall be in the Blazing Fire. 14 They will enter it on the Day of Justice. 15 And never therefrom will they be absent. 16 And what do you know of what sort is the Day of Justice! 17 And once again: What could make thee conceive what that Judgment Day will be? 18 (It will be) the Day when no soul shall have power (to do) aught for another: For the command, that Day, will be (wholly) with Allah. 19
Allah Almighty has spoken the truth.
