The Backbiter (Al-Hummazah)

9 verses, revealed in Mecca after Resurrection (Al-Qeyaamah) before Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)

In the name of Allah, the Compassionate, the Merciful

Woe unto every backbiter, slanderer, 1 Who has gathered wealth and counted it, 2 He bethinketh that his wealth shall abide for him. 3 No! He will surely be thrown into the Crusher. 4 Would that you knew what hutamah is! 5 The fire of Allah, kindled, 6 Which leapeth up over the hearts (of men). 7 Verily it shall close upon them, 8 In pillars stretched forth. 9

God Almighty has spoken the truth.
