Yet those who disbelieve say: When we have become dust like our fathers, shall we verily be brought forth (again)? 67 Indeed we and our fathers had been promised this before. It is nothing but the earlier people's lore." 68 Say: "Go ye through the earth and see what has been the end of those guilty (of sin)." 69 And do not grieve upon them, nor be distressed because of their scheming. 70 And they say, “When will this promise come, if you are truthful?” 71 Say thou: belike close behind you may be some of that which ye would hasten on. 72 Lo! thy Lord is full of bounty for mankind, but most of them do not give thanks. 73 And verily thy Lord knoweth all that their hearts do hide. As well as all that they reveal. 74 for there is nothing [so deeply] hidden in the heavens or on earth but is recorded in [His] clear decree. 75 This Quran tells the Israelites most of the matters about which they had disputes among themselves. 76 and, verily, it is a guidance and a grace unto all who believe [in it]. 77 Indeed, your Lord will judge between them by His [wise] judgement. And He is the Exalted in Might, the Knowing. 78 Therefor (O Muhammad) put thy trust in Allah, for thou (standest) on the plain Truth. 79 Surely you do not make the dead to hear, and you do not make the deaf to hear the call when they go back retreating. 80 just as thou canst not lead the blind [of heart] out of their error; none canst thou make hear save such as [are willing to] believe in Our messages, and thus surrender themselves unto Us. 81 ۞ And when the word befalls them, We will bring forth for them a creature from the earth speaking to them, [saying] that the people were, of Our verses, not certain [in faith]. 82
