3/4 Hizb 45
< random >
Noah called to Us; and how excellent were the Answerers! 75 And We rescued him and his household from the great calamity. 76 and caused his offspring to endure [on earth]; 77 And left (his name) for posterity. 78 Peace be unto Noah among the peoples! 79 Thus do We surely reward the doers of good. 80 Verily he was of Our bondmen believing. 81 We drowned the rest. 82 ۞ Abraham was one of his followers. 83 When he came to his Lord with a heart compliant, 84 and when he said to his father and to his nation: 'What do you worship? 85 "Is it a falsehood- gods other than Allah- that ye desire? 86 "Then what do you think about the Lord of the 'Alamin (mankind, jinns, and all that exists)?" 87 Then he looked carefully at the stars 88 And he said: "Verily, I am sick (with plague. He did this trick to remain in their temple of idols to destroy them and not to accompany them to the pagan's feast)." 89 So they went away from him, turning back. 90 and he turned to their idols and asked them, "Do you eat? 91 What is wrong with you that you do not speak?" 92 And he turned upon them smiting them with his right hand. 93 And (his people) came toward him, hastening. 94 He said, 'Do you serve what you hew, 95 “Whereas Allah has created you and your actions?” 96 They said, 'Build him a building, and cast him into the furnace!' 97 And they desired a war against him, but We brought them low. 98 He said, 'I am going to my Lord; He will guide me. 99 Lord, grant me a righteous son." 100 We gave him the glad news of the birth of a forbearing son. 101 and when he was old enough to go about and work with him, (one day) Abraham said to him: “My son, I see in my dream that I am slaughtering you. So consider (and tell me) what you think.” He said: “Do as you are bidden. You will find me, if Allah so wills, among the steadfast.” 102 So when they both submitted and he threw him down upon his forehead, 103 We called unto him: O Abraham! 104 you have fulfilled what you were commanded to do in your dream." Thus do We reward the righteous ones. 105 that surely was a manifest trial, 106 And We ransomed him with a mighty victim. 107 and perpetuated his praise in later generations. 108 Peace be unto Abraham! 109 Indeed, We thus reward the doers of good. 110 truly, he was one of Our faithful servants. 111 And We gave him the glad tidings of Ishaq, a Herald of the Hidden, from among those who deserve Our proximity. 112 and We blessed him and Isaac: but among the offspring of these two there were [destined] to be both doers of good and such as would glaringly sin against themselves. 113
