The All Compassionate (Al-Rahman)
78 verses, revealed in Medina after Thunder (Al-Ra'ad) before The Human (Al-Insan)
In the name of Allah, the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful
۞ (Allah) Most Gracious! 1 has imparted this Qur'an [unto man]. 2 He created the human being 3 Taught him the mode of expression. 4 The sun and the moon to a reckoning, 5 The plants and trees prostrate before Him. 6 He raised the heaven on high and set the scale. 7 that you may not transgress in the balance, 8 And observe the weight with equity and do not make the balance deficient. 9 He spread out the earth for the people. 10 There exists all kinds of fruits, palm-trees with sheathed blossoms, 11 Husked grain and scented herb. 12 Which favors of your Lord will you both (humans and jinn) belie? 13 He created man of fermented clay dried tinkling hard like earthen ware, 14 and jinn from the many colored flames of fire. 15 Then which of the favours of your Lord will ye deny? 16 Lord of both the Easts, and Lord of both the Wests! 17 Then which of the favours of your Lord will ye deny? 18 He has let free the two bodies of flowing water, meeting together: 19 In-between the twain is a barrier which they pass not. 20 So which of the favors of your Lord would you deny? 21 Pearls and coral-stone come forth from them. 22 So which of the favors of your Lord would you deny? 23 His are the ships, towering on the sea like mountains. 24 So which of the favors of your Lord would you deny? 25
