۞ No! I swear by the fallings of the stars 75 And that is indeed a mighty adjuration if ye but knew,- 76 That (this) is indeed a noble Qur'an 77 inscribed in a well-guarded Book, 78 Which none can touch except the purified. 79 a revelation from the Lord of the Universe. 80 What, do you hold this discourse in disdain, 81 And make denial thereof your livelihood? 82 Then why, when the soul at death reaches the throat 83 And ye the while (sit) looking on,- 84 (And We are nigher him than you, but you do not see Us) 85 Then why is it not-- if you are not held under authority-- 86 do you not restore his soul, if you are truthful? 87 Then, if he (the dying person) be of the Muqarrabun (those brought near to Allah), 88 Then breath of life, and plenty, and a Garden of delight. 89 And if he is of those on the right, – 90 [he, too, will be welcomed into paradise with the words,] "Peace be unto thee [that art] of those who have attained to righteousness!" 91 But if he is one of those who rejected [the truth] and went astray, 92 there shall be a hospitality of boiling water, 93 And burning in Hellfire 94 Indeed, this is the certain truth. 95 Extol, then, the limitless glory of thy Sustainer's mighty name! 96
