Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
In the name of God, The Most Gracious, The Dispenser of Grace
By the loosed ones successively 1 and then storming on with a tempest's force! 2 Then by oath of those that lift and carry. 3 then winnow them thoroughly, 4 Alas the woe that day for those who deny! 5 To excuse or to warn, 6 What is promised will surely come to pass. 7 Thus, [it will come to pass] when the stars are effaced, 8 and when the sky is rent asunder 9 when the mountains shall be scattered 10 And when the messengers are (all) appointed a time (to collect);- 11 to what day shall they be deferred? 12 For the Day of Decision. 13 And what shall teach thee what is the Day of Decision? 14 Ruin is for the deniers on that day! 15 Did We not destroy the ancients, 16 Then caused the latter folk to follow after? 17 So We serve the sinners. 18 On that day, woe upon those who have rejected God's revelations! 19 Did We not create you from a worthless water (semen, etc.)? 20 Then We placed it in a secure resting-place, 21 For a known period (determined by gestation)? 22 So We proportion it-- how well are We at proportioning (things). 23 Woe unto the repudiators on that day! 24 Have We not caused the earth to hold within itself 25 for the living and the dead? 26 And We placed high mountains as anchors in it and gave you sweet water to drink. 27 Woe on that day unto the beliers! 28 (It will be said to the disbelievers): "Depart you to that which you used to deny! 29 Proceed to a shadow [of smoke] having three columns 30 that will offer no [cooling] shade and will be of no avail against the flame 31 It will throw out sparks as logs of wood 32 As though they were camels yellow tawny. 33 Woe on that Day unto those who give the lie to the truth 34 This is a day wherein they speak not, 35 Nor are they suffered to put forth excuses. 36 Woe that day unto those who cry it lies! 37 This is the Day of Decision, We have brought you and the men of old together. 38 So if you have any plot to devise against Me, then devise it. 39 Woe on that Day unto those who give the lie to the truth! 40
