Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
In the Name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
By oath of those that are sent, one after the other. (The verses of the Holy Qur’an or the angels or the winds). 1 By the raging hurricanes, 2 by (the angels) spreading (the words of God) far and wide, 3 Then by those that clearly differentiate the right and wrong. 4 Then I swear by the angels who bring down the revelation, 5 To excuse or to warn, 6 Most surely what you are threatened with must come to pass. 7 So when the stars are obliterated 8 And when the sky is riven asunder, 9 And when the mountains are made into dust and blown away. 10 And when the apostles are collected at the appointed time, 11 For what Day was it postponed? 12 For the Day of Sorting out. 13 And what will make you comprehend what the day of decision is? 14 Woe on that Day to those who reject the truth. 15 Did We not destroy many a nation of the earlier times? 16 and make others settle after them in their land? 17 Thus do We deal with the sinful ones. 18 Alas the woe that day for those who deny! 19 Did We not create you from an insignificant drop of fluid 20 Which We placed in a depository safe. 21 For a known calculated term. 22 Then We facilitated (your birth). How well do We calculate! 23 Woe on that Day to those who reject the truth! 24 Have We not made the earth a receptacle? 25 for the living and for the dead? 26 Set We not therein soaring mountains? Sated you with sweetest water? 27 On that Day (of Judgment) woe would be upon those who have rejected God's revelations! 28 Depart to that which you belied! 29 Walk on to the covering having three branches, 30 "(Which yields) no shade of coolness, and is of no use against the fierce Blaze. 31 that shoots sparks like dry faggots, 32 like giant fiery ropes! 33 Ruin is for the deniers on that day! 34 This is a Day whereon they shall not be able to speak. 35 Nor will it be open to them to put forth pleas. 36 Woe on that day to the rejecters. 37 'This is the Day of Decision; We have joined you with the ancients; 38 Now, if ye have a trick (or plot), use it against Me! 39 On that day, woe would be upon those who have rejected God's revelations! 40
