The Rolling (Al-Takweer)
In the Name of God, the Merciful, the Compassionate
When the sun is covered, 1 when the stars shall scatter away, 2 And when the mountains shall made to pass away; 3 The ten-month pregnant female camels are abandoned, 4 And when the wild beasts are gathered 5 And when the seas shall be filled, 6 And when the souls he paired, 7 when the buried female infant is asked 8 for what offence was she killed? 9 And when the pages are made public 10 the heavens are unveiled, 11 and when the blazing fire [of hell] is kindled bright, 12 and when paradise is brought into view: 13 (Then) shall each soul know what it has put forward. 14 No indeed; I swear by the alternating stars 15 Those that run [their courses] and disappear - 16 And the Night as it dissipates; 17 And by the dawn when it breathes 18 That this is indeed the word of an honoured Messenger, 19 The processor of strength, having an honorable place with the Lord of the Dominion, 20 With authority there, (and) faithful to his trust. 21 For, this fellow-man of yours is not a madman: 22 And he has already seen Gabriel in the clear horizon. 23 he is not niggardly of the Unseen. 24 And it is not the word of an accursed Satan; 25 Whither, then, will you go? 26 Verily, this (the Quran) is no less than a Reminder to (all) the 'Alamin (mankind and jinns). 27 for whosoever of you who would go straight; 28 but will you shall not, unless God wills, the Lord of all Being. 29
