The Galaxies (Al-Burooj)
In the name of Allah, the Merciful, the Compassionate
By the sky, (displaying) the Zodiacal Signs; 1 And by the Promised Day. 2 And the bearer of witness and those against whom the witness is borne. 3 That accursed are the men of the trench 4 of fire fiercely burning [for all who have attained to faith]! 5 When they sat by it (fire), 6 to watch what they were doing to the believers, 7 They took revenge on them only because they believed in the All-mighty, the Al-laudable, 8 To whom belongs the dominion of the heavens and the earth. And Allah, over all things, is Witness. 9 Indeed those who troubled the Muslim men and Muslim women, and then did not repent – for them is the punishment of hell, and for them is the punishment of fire. 10 [But,] verily, they who attain to faith and do righteous deeds shall [in the life to come] have gardens through which running waters flow - that triumph most great! 11 Indeed the seizure of your Lord is very severe. 12 It is He who creates all things and causes them to return. 13 And He is the Forgiving, the Loving, 14 Lord of the Throne of Glory, 15 Performer of what He desires. 16 HAS IT ever come within thy ken, the story of the [sinful] hosts 17 of Pharaoh and of Thamood? 18 And yet, they who are bent on denying the truth persist in giving it the lie: 19 Allah encompasses them all from behind. 20 This is indeed the glorious Qur'an 21 inscribed on a well-guarded Tablet. 22
