The Comet (Al-Taareq)

17 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Town (Al-Balad) before The Moon (Al-Qamar)

In the name of Allah, the Merciful, the Compassionate

By the heaven, and the night-visitor, 1 And what can make you know what is the night comer? 2 (It is a nightly radiant star). 3 There is not a soul that does not have a guardian over it. 4 Let man reflect on what he was created from. 5 He is created of water pouring forth, 6 issuing from between the backbone and the breastbone: 7 Indeed, Allah, to return him [to life], is Able. 8 On the Day when secrets are disclosed, 9 and he shall have no strength, no helper. 10 By the heaven with its recurring cycle of rain, 11 And the earth which splits (with the growth of trees and plants), 12 Indeed the Qur’an is a decisive Word. 13 It is not a thing for amusement. 14 Surely they will make a scheme, 15 And I (too) will make a scheme. 16 So leave the unbelievers to themselves; respite them awhile. 17

Allah the Almighty always says the truth.
