The Forenoon (Al-Duhaa)
11 verses, revealed in Mecca after Dawn (Al-Fajr) before Cooling the Temper (Al-Sharrhh)
In the name of Allah, the Compassionate, the Merciful
I CALL TO witness the early hours of morning, 1 And by the night when it is stillest, 2 Thy Lord hath not forsaken thee nor doth He hate thee, 3 Indeed what is to come will be better for you than what has gone by. 4 And soon will your Lord give you so that you shall be well pleased. 5 Has He not found thee an orphan, and given thee shelter? 6 Did He not find you unaware of the Right Way, and then directed you to it? 7 And He found thee in need, and made thee independent. 8 So do not oppress the orphan, 9 And do not drive the beggar away, 10 And as to the favour of thine Lord, discourse thou thereof. 11
God the Almighty always says the truth.
