The Comet (Al-Taareq)
17 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Town (Al-Balad) before The Moon (Al-Qamar)
In the Name of Allah, the Merciful, the Most Merciful
I CALL TO witness the heavens and the night Star -- 1 And what shall make thee know that which the night-comer is? 2 (It is) the star of piercing brightness; 3 Over every soul there is a watcher. 4 So let man consider of what he was created. 5 he was created of gushing water 6 That issueth from between the loins and the breast-bones. 7 Most surely He is able to return him (to life). 8 On the day when all secrets will be made public, 9 He shall have neither strength nor helper. 10 Consider the heavens, ever-revolving, 11 and the replenishing earth, 12 That this (Qur'an) is a decisive word 13 And no trifle. 14 They are planning a scheme, 15 But I am planning a plan. 16 Therefore respite the unbelievers, and delay them for a while. 17
Allah the Almighty always says the truth.
