Thorns (Al-Masad)

5 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Key (Al-Faatehah) before The Rolling (Al-Takweer)

In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful

May the hands of Abu Lahab perish! May he too perish! 1 His property and worldly gains will be of no help to him. 2 He will [enter to] burn in a Fire of [blazing] flame 3 And so will his wife; carrying a bundle of firewood on her head. 4 A twisted rope of palm-leaf fibre round her (own) neck! 5

Allah the Almighty always says the truth.
